We Started This Outdoor Living Project by Building a New Patio, Fire Pit & Pergola

Our client had a great backyard area with a patio, fire pit, matching seating wall, pergola, and a large lawn. However, they wanted to extend their living space to accommodate larger gatherings while cultivating a more modern, upscale aesthetic. So, our team started this outdoor living project by clearing out the existing features and surrounding landscape. Then, we installed large paving stones with a dark paver border for their patio; this patio is wider and longer than their previous one to ensure enough space for the other amenities we planned to incorporate.

Upon finishing their new patio, we constructed a sleek, black fire pit and a metal pergola to match, creating a cohesive look among the features. Their pergola is highly sturdy, as it's secured into the patio, and boasts built-in lighting on the roof slats so our client can sit underneath it even after the sun goes down.

Incorporating an Outdoor Kitchen Was the Next Step of This Project

The next step of this project was to incorporate an outdoor kitchen into the patio. We installed it right along the house beside the door to their backyard, using dark blocks and a light-colored stone countertop to match the space's overall aesthetic. This kitchen also has stainless steel drawers and a grill so our client can cook meals while spending time in their outdoor living space.
