We had a client in Fairway, KS, reach out to our team to help upgrade their outdoor living space. They initially had a brick patio with a fire pit and seating wall, but their large backyard was being underutilized. With plenty of space to work with, their goal was to maximize it by creating the ultimate outdoor living experience. To better understand their vision for the project, we started with a consultation and landscape design. This outdoor living project was extensive, and we wanted to ensure we met our client's goals. So, the first step was a consultation and landscape design. During this initial meeting, we discussed their vision for their updated living area, as well as the elements they wanted to incorporate and the desired materials. These included a new pool, paver patio, fire pit, and landscaping. Additionally, our team assessed the area to plan the layout of the different features.

Once we had a solid understanding of their expectations, we worked with them to craft a 3D design rendering. This 3D design allowed them to preview their finished project before any installations began! Once our client approved the design for their new outdoor living space, we got to work installing their new features! We installed their pool first, which features a built-in spa, waterfall wall, and integrated lighting. Its rectangular shape and sleek design also align with the modern aesthetic they were aiming for.

After that, we installed a paver patio and decking around the pool. We used large, light-colored paving stones as the primary material and dark gray to border the entire area, defining it with clean lines for a more upscale appearance. The same dark-colored pavers were used to create a designated space for their new fire pit! With a honeycomb pattern in the center to serve as the foundation for the sleek, rectangular fire pit, it achieves a visually striking design that brings dimension and texture to the space.

We Finished This Outdoor Living Transformation With Eye-Catching Landscape Beds

With the main features of this outdoor living transformation complete, we moved on to the finishing touches! We incorporated eye-catching landscape beds around the space, along the back of the pool's waterfall wall, and small ones on either end of the defined fire pit area to create a cohesive blend of softscape elements. These beds were filled with dark brown mulch and a variety of charming shrubs and flowers. We also added a rock border to some of them for drainage. Now our client has an outdoor space they can be proud of; its modern, luxurious aesthetic, combined with the textures and colors of natural elements, cultivates a beautiful, refined living experience.
